Privacy policy
Zoolinko processes personal data (yours) and animal health data (your animals'). This page explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are under the GDPR.
1. Data controller
The data controller within the meaning of article 4(7) GDPR is Pixdoo (Zoolinko platform), Rue de Boussoit 4, 7110 Maurage, Belgium, VAT BE 0501.396.990. For any question about your data: the site's contact form, subject "General question".
2. Data we collect
Account: name, e-mail address, phone number, language, timezone. Animals: identity, identification (chip, passport), health history. Technical: connection and record-access logs (IP address, device), required for security and traceability.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process your data to provide the service — health record, reminders, transfers, directory — on the basis of contract performance (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your animal's data (health, identification) is necessary for the very operation of the app; the same applies to veterinarians' professional data (Order-number verification, directory page). Access logs rely on our legitimate interest in securing records (art. 6(1)(f)). Optional communications rely on your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), withdrawable at any time. No data is sold or used for advertising, and no automated decision within the meaning of article 22 is made.
4. Data sharing
An animal's record is only visible to the people you authorise: co-guardians, linked veterinarians, the on-call vet (a temporary 72-hour access that you trigger yourself). Every access is logged and visible from your account.
5. Hosting, security and retention
Data is hosted in the European Union and protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures (art. 32 GDPR): encryption in transit and at rest, access logging, backups. In the event of a breach presenting a risk, the Data Protection Authority and the persons concerned are notified in accordance with articles 33 and 34. Your account is kept while active; upon deletion your personal data is erased and the animal's record may be kept in anonymised form in the interest of continuity of care (art. 5(1)(e)).
6. Your rights
In accordance with articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent (art. 7(3)). Exercise them from your account or via the contact form; we reply within one month (art. 12(3)). You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels (dataprotectionauthority.be), in accordance with article 77.
7. Cookies
The public site only uses technical cookies: session, security (anti-CSRF token) and remembering your language. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
